Victory spotlight — Congratulations to Denice Salazar, newly crowned Champion in Billiard 9-Ball (Secondary Girls) at the recently concluded Provincial Meet! Guided by her coach, Mr. Lauro P. Santiago, Denice blended calm focus with precise shot-making to outplay a tough field and bring home the gold for the school.

How She Won

Denice’s run was built on solid break control, smart safeties, and confident finishes on the last three balls—hallmarks of a player who trusts the process. Coach Santiago’s scouting and table-management drills showed up in crucial racks, especially in hill-hill moments where discipline and shot selection mattered most.

“We prepared for pressure—one rack at a time,” Coach Lauro P. Santiago shared. “Denice delivered with heart and poise.”

Why It Matters

  • Excellence under pressure: Composure in tight frames turned defensive positions into scoring chances.
  • Teamwork: A clear game plan, focused practice sets, and post-match reviews powered her steady climb.
  • Inspiration: Her achievement raises the bar for student-athletes in precision sports like billiards.
